I applies early decision because I really thought this was the school for me!

But I HIGHLY recomment really thoroughly researching your options, and not applying Early. You will get a better aid package if you shop around.

I got in by getting good grades, doing wellJun 29 2008Business - Management and Administration
I got in by getting good grades, doing well on the SAT, and writing good essays. I also strived for leadership roles in high school, and portrayed myself in my application as an uncommon student that could really contribute the the university.

Definitely make an effort to present yourself as uniqueMar 10 2008Neuroscience/Cognitive Science
Definitely make an effort to present yourself as unique. Clearly we are all "unique in our own way", but a few of my friends who had excellent GPAs and boards didn't get in because they basically blew off the essay and application—do not do this. Like other extremely competitive schools, Penn receives tens of thousands of applications, including thousands boasting perfect GPAs, SATs, or valedictorianship. These stats alone will likely not garner to admission; complete your application with care.
SAT: 1400 Male

I took summer precollege courses (Calculus and Chemistry with a Lab). I took AP Bio and also an additional Genetics course with City College in New York during my Junior Year. I would suggest enrolling in as many college courses as possible.
